Concerts for Grades 4th - 12th & Adults Celebrate and enjoy the music of China, Japan, Korea, Russia, and hear familiar western hymns anew, played by Qiu Min Ji on the Erhu, a two-string Chinese violin. Her passion & oneness with her instrument bridges cultural differences. Programs run from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Extra musicians available. Workshops Workshops for teachers and music majors offer in-depth exploration about Asian music scales. Rhythms and melodies are introduced to gain knowledge that is usable in classroom instruction. Hands-on playing of instruments such as the Erhu, Gaohu, Liouqin Ran (Wanham), Sanxian (Shamisen), Bamboo Flute & Chinese Percussions, highlights their charms and challenges.
