Why CACBC?

Unlike most tour companies, we do not bring people to travel all over the world. We only take them to China. We focus on cultural exchange between China and North America, because that is what we know well.

Our experience comes from first-hand knowledge and cultural understanding, based on our lives in China. Here's why our staff of bilingual, bicultural, performers and educators, are uniquely capable of planning the most exciting, educational, memorable, and meaningful tour of your dreams:

Our in-depth knowledge of China gives you a vast choice of cities and sights. China is a large country with incredible historical locations throughout. However most people travel to China for just a few popular sites, barely skimming the surface. This is because most travel companies can only provide them with the “standard tour,” an itinerary created by the Chinese government to promote favored cities and airlines, and copied from one travel agent to the next. We can of course provide you with this same standard tour if you request. However, most of our programs go much deeper to bring you to sites other companies don’t have the knowledge to offer. We show you things in China that may only appear in Chinese history books.

Have a memorable trip by meeting people and making friends:  Other tour companies will give you the “standard tour” of China, with a few major sites, lots of traveling by plane or by bus and little to no time to take a breath. All of our tours incorporate visits with local schools and universities, to meet with students and get to know each other. Our deep knowledge of the Chinese people directly benefits your group: we’ll bring you to the city parks in the morning for tai chi with the locals, or go to a traditional Chinese Artist’s studio to see a demonstration and have a hands-on experience. These special considerations are oftentimes the highlights our participants’ journeys.

Our dedication to culture and education helps you fine-tune a personal itinerary: We work with you throughout the creation of your itinerary, taking your suggestions and complementing them with our knowledge of the intricacies of travel in China. We always fine-tune your itinerary until it meets your exact requirements. We aim to make each tour unique and personal for everyone involved.

Our bilingual, single-layer communication avoids potential problems and misunderstandings:  Other tour companies, when dealing with China, must work through layers of hired contractors and agents, because they do not know the language, the territory, and the proper channels to go through. We deal with China directly, so if we are on the phone with you discussing a change in your itinerary in the afternoon, we are on the phone at night to our people in China, making those changes take effect.

Our guides' 24-hour presence helps you with any problems: Many tour companies stop their work at your departure gateway. We are with you throughout your tour, at your disposal 24 hours a day. Our guides reside in the same hotel with your group. They deal with hotel arrangements and meals, clear up conflicts, take care of any emergencies, and listen to your opinions and suggestions. They also suggest good free-time activities, and work to ensure that your tour is a great success!
