West Meets
East!
Educational Assembly Program for grades K -
12

At CACBC, our mission is to promote cross-cultural awareness and
fellowship between people in the Chinese and American cultures
through the arts and education. Our West Meets East Assembly is
a perfect way to introduce young American minds to the arts and
cultural studies of China!

Magically transport the students of the "West" to the
culture of the "East" as they travel with the music and
motion of Musician, Presenter & Educator Qiu Min Ji, in
an interactive cultural learning event!

Learning the Lion Dance Steps
As Ms. Ji presents the intriguing colors, sounds and
sights of her native China, the students will be enchanted as they
learn and experience:
Chinese Music: Traditional Instruments, such as the Erhu and
Ran, played by Ms. Ji.
Chinese Language: Students see, learn, and practice Chinese
words.
Traditional Costumes: Students and adults don colorful and
ornate costumes.
Cultural Dances: Students participate in Lion
(Dragon) and Ribbon Dances.
