Our Mission

The Chinese American Cultural Bridge Center is an American nonprofit organization, established in 1992.  Our mission is to promote cross-cultural awareness and fellowship between people in the Chinese and American cultures through the arts and education.

Historically, Eastern and Western Civilizations have been isolated from each other, due not only to the geological distance that separates them, but also to the vast differences of their languages, philosophies, religions, historical traditions, and political systems.

We at CACBC are sensitive to these differences. As bilingual and bicultural educators, performers and musicians, we believe the best way to break down invisible cultural barriers is to bring people face-to-face with the most intimate and expressive components of each other’s cultures.   Through the arts we are able to foster genuine understanding, respect, and appreciation between the diverse cultures of the world.

"The entire trip has been educational and enjoyable. In fact, seeing China has sparked my interest in Chinese history and culture. I am learning Chinese

as well as entertaining the idea of studying abroad in China. I would not have been

interested in any of this without having traveled with CACBC."
